Types of Sentences
1.
The Affirmative sentence (உடன்பாடான) and the Negative
sentence.
a.
Keshav has said something in a sentence.
He has made a statement. His statement is in the affirmative.
b. Jasmine
too has made a statement. Her statement is in the negative.
2. Interrogative (வினா), Exclamatory (வியப்பு, உணர்ச்சி) and Imperative (உத்தரவு, வேண்டுகோள்)
a.
Raghu asks a question. His sentence is an Interrogative
sentence.
b. Sarathy
answers by expressing his feeling.
His sentence is an exclamatory
sentence.
c.
Anandh calls the boys. He instructs
them. "Don't stand there talking" - this sentence is a Command or imperative sentence. Imperative also includes request sentence.
